Little screw ups
So, I was talking to Mindy the other day about this competition, wondering about her success and how she was doing... in the process of the conversation, I was frustrated because I have not lost any weight in the last week, and it was bugging me, and I had really felt like I was doing pretty well in my eating, eating almost every meal on menu, and had wondered if it was my hormone cycle that was causing me not to lose... but that has ended and here I sit with still no loss. In talking to her, I realized I was doing 90 to 95% right, which is pretty darn good considering a month ago I was doing maybe 25% right most weeks! But I realized that although 90% is enough to not gain, it is NOT enough to actually lose. This sucks in some ways because it feels like I have to be perfect, but at the same time, realizing this is important because this week I can make those little tweaks to get the scale moving again. I'm also working on beefing up my exercise this week, which has been a little easier the last few days since it's a little warmer. I had not been enjoying the cold weather, and was using that and the fact that 75% of what we look like is what we eat, not how much we exercise, as an excuse, but I have to quit doing that. Time to get moving and tweak that menu so that I can reach my goal for this month, it's steep but still possible, I totally believe I can do it!
