One week down...

Not sure how many to go! I had a loss of 2.8 lbs thi sweek, not as great as I could have done, but glad to have a loss! this week, I've enlisted a buddy to help (and offer a little friendly competition), and he is kickin my butt already! had 2 days of being perfectly on menu, went walking about 3 miles last night, and tonight ended up going about 1.7 miles, but about half of that was at a stiff jog (intervals with the walking) so it definitely was a good workout! it really does make it so much easier to have someone who is doing this with you and helping to stay focused! so next week, I expect way better numbers on the scale, but even if its just another 2.8 lbs, I'll be happy with the slow and steady progress. I have a feeling I wont need to worry about it! Going to renew my bodybugg subscription too, so that will also make it a lot easier to stay focused on what I'm doing every day!

Just wanted to say I love reading all of your posts, I have been reading consistently even if I havent commented much, and I appreciate all the extra motivation you all have offered by opening yourself up in this forum. Lets make it a great week :)

2.8 lbs a week would be more than a 10 lb loss.. if you did that every month you've lost more than 50 lbs in the 5 month comp! WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU HAVE THAT KIND OF SUCCESS!! Congrats on having a "buddy" who can kick your ass! ;o)

Don't get discouraged about not losing as much weight as you want, just remind yourself that you are consistantly losing - that is the most important part.
Great idea on the work out buddy! They are so nice to have because they push you more than you would do yourself!
Great work!

Karilynn, you nailed it on the head, my goal weight is about 50 lbs (to be adjusted once I get there and decide if I want to go further), so I had figured 10 lbs per month during this competition would get me there! So thats the plan :)
